The Prelude was a riveting story filled love, loss, betrayal and pain. Erin and Alec are both facing demons that they can't seem to run from. But with each other, Alec and Erin find a way to heal. I loved how KaSaonndra swapped POVs between Alec and Emma. It was great being able to be in both of their heads to see how how each of them really feel. I was able to connect with them more that way. The world-building was crafted beautifully. I was able to vividly see what was going on in the story.

The character development was executed perfectly. Erin grew so much by the end of the story. After losing her sister and father, then losing her boyfriend two days later, she completely swore off love. She is also keeping a secret with what happened with her mother. She never quit blaming herself for that. But with Alec, she was able to open up. The electricity that flew between them was hot. They were made for each other. Alec is a huge player. He doesn't let anything go further than the bedroom. That instantly changes when he meets Erin. He immediately feels protective of her, but he feels connected to her somehow. There is something very familiar about her that he can't figure out. Until the end anyway, and boy that left me shell-shocked. Didn't see that one coming at all. I love Erin's boss Luca. Her whole Block Butterfly group is basically like her family. I fell in love with them. I adored all the characters in this book.

The Prelude was an enthralling story that hooked me from start to finish. I was very, very happy with the ending of this book. Of course, it left me wanting more though!!!! I also loved how this book had several wow moments. There were a couple of things I didn't see coming and the ending was one of them. The way the whole story came together at the end and seeing how everything was connected was well thought out. This book is a must read!!!!

I have to say that I waited patiently for KaSonndra to finish writing The Prelude. I dam near died waiting with anticipation for this book and boy oh boy did she not disappoint! Lord where to start this review without giving to much away. This is one of those books that will have you laughing one minute and then crying the next because it is so emotional. I am so glad this is going to be a series because these characters have so much more to say. I mean dam I sat at the edge of my seat at one point thinking HOLY HADES WTF is going on.... But man can I just say this book did it for me! Thanks KaSonndra for allowing me to read the ARC of The Prelude and be a part of your street team.

In The Prelude we meet Erin and Alek. The two are from different worlds but not so different worlds. They are both ambitious and work driven by what they do. Erin has struggled her whole life with tragedy and so has Alek but neither of them gave up. They made sure to pursue their dreams and made sure that their hopes came to fruition. Erin grew up in the states and always wanted to be a singer and a designer. After a tragedy happened to her she decided she would go to designer school and pursue that as her main career. She ends up in Milan where she is the top student of her class and her teacher decides to open up shop with her and his designer brother. Erin is so happy and proud to have accomplished so much in so little time but she knows she must prove to fashion world that she is a great designer and she can make it in the industry. She gets her big break when a dance company needs costumes for their new show. It is this show that will change Erin's life.

Alek is a world known Maestro. He is the youngest Maestro and he loves what he does. He is known all over the world and people flock to see him and his talents. So when he decides he will help his best friend out by being the Maestro for the show everyone is excited. But first he has to see the dancers in costume to get a feel for the music. When Alek and Erin meet there is an instant attraction but neither one of them is interested in starting a relationship. For one Erin swore off dating when she was a teenager and she has never broken that promise. Yes she goes on dates but nothing more. Alek is known as a man whore. He does women and then moves on. He is definitely a play boy and does not have any intentions on settling down. But destiny wants what she wants and these two are destined to be together. It will not be easy nor will it be pretty but is anything worth loving easy to attain?

This is a story of two broken people brought together by the hearts desire to love again. What do you do when you keep looking for something that is not there? You learn to fight for it and you don't stop until you have it. This is what Alek and Erin will have to do and they will have to fight hard for what they want but in the end it will be worth it. Will Erin and Alek be together or will people and things tear them apart. This is a MUST READ for 2013!

This series is to die for! I read the books out of order and it had no impact on the awesomeness of the series. I am astonished at how touching the stories are and KaSonndra's ability to bring me to tears one minute then have me in full blown hot flashes the next. The men in these pages are smoking hot with a slice of cockiness that makes my mouth water. *fans self

The heat from their encounter sets the feel throughout. Of course Alek is used to getting what he wants but Erin isn't one to just give in. She is strong and determined, but even with that determination, she isn't prepared for the undaunting advances by Alek. He's got his sights on her and come hell or high water he will have her.

KaSonndra is one of my favorite authors to date. She has an uncanny ability to bring a story to life. With the setting right in the middle of the fashion world in Milan,Italy, you feel like you are there. The beauty of the country and the hustle and bustle of the city comes to life. I could imagine myself there with a crowd of photographers being awed by the designs. Romantic and exciting with all the energy that surrounds a premiere event.

I am wholeheartedly addicted to The Musical Interlude Sreies. It's full of passion, danger, redemption, loyalty and so much more. I highly recommend this book!
